ABOUT ME

I’ve spent over 20 years working as a Set Designer in the TV industry, specializing in the News and Current Affairs genre. Much of this time was with Jago Design Limited, where I contributed to projects for major UK broadcasters like BBC, Channel 4, and ITV, as well as international clients including VTM (Belgium), TV2 (Denmark), BBC America (Washington) and many more. These collaborations have given me invaluable experience in crafting visually striking and functional designs for a diverse range of audiences.

After 17 years of living and working in London—a time I cherished—I decided to embrace my country roots and relocate to Somerset. As a “country girl” at heart, I sought a deeper connection with nature for myself and my family. Now based in Bath, the “little smoke,” I continue to work in the TV industry on a freelance basis, as well as holding a part-time position as an Art Department Technician.

Art, design, creativity, and a practical approach have always been central to my life. At home, I’m a relentless DIYer, always ready to tackle new challenges and bring ideas to life. My love for making extends to a constant stream of craft and art projects that keep me inspired.

Renovating our last three properties ignited a deep fascination with interior space planning and the ways thoughtful layouts can elevate a home’s functionality and overall enjoyment. For me, it’s not just about designing a space that works for today, but one that adapts and evolves with the people who live in it. This passion stems from two key influences: early home improvement projects with my late Mum, which sparked my creativity as a child, and my set design background, where achieving maximum visual impact within limited spaces was essential. Much like a successful set, the success of a home starts with a well-conceived and meticulously executed plan.
